Goldfinch

While the term goldfinch can refer to any of four different species of bird, in North America, it typically refers to the American Goldfinch.  Only the male exhibits the brilliant gold color for which this bird got it's name.  Unlike other finches, Goldfinches breed in the late summer months.  Although they will also eat insects, the American Goldfinch's diet consists primarily of seeds.  Give a cheerful yellow accent to your home decor with one of our beautiful goldfinches.
